Raja Ampat and its surrounding seas are a dreamscape of limestone spires, turquoise lagoons, and forests alive with birds of paradise. The reefs here breathe with more color and life than anywhere else on Earth. Where whale sharks swim in harmony with dolphins and manta rays glide through on their own majestic path. To travel Raja Ampat is to see how closely everything connects; land, sea, and people.

Our People
SeaTrek is its people. Without them, our Pinisi ships are just timber, and the routes only lines on a chart. But with them, a sea of possibilities opens. The unfamiliar becomes kin, and every expedition carries its own heartbeat.
Our crew and tour leaders are not there to serve you from a distance, they will experience with you, share their wisdom, and care deeply. What gives meaning to travel is not the miles crossed, it’s the people you’ve crossed paths with.
These aren’t guides waving umbrellas in crowded plazas.
They’re companions who pull you into the soul of these islands.
Our all-Indonesian tour leaders are all highly experienced and competent in the ways of the sea, the islands, and the cultures we visit.

On most ships, crew are told to fade into the background. Quiet service, polished shoes, invisible hands. We don’t do that.
Our captains and crew are the heartbeat of every expedition. Many are Bugis and Konjo – people who’ve been crossing these seas for centuries. They’ll raise sails, fix an engine, teach you to tie a line, and then happily share a song with you under starlight.
Yes, they’ll respect your space. Yes, they’ll make sure you’re comfortable. They’re here to sail with you. To make you part of their world, if you let them. Because without them, this wouldn’t be an adventure. It would just be a boat ride.
On select expeditions, you’ll share the deck with a coral specialist, cultural expert, or marine biologist who’s spent their life obsessed with one corner of the natural or cultural world. They give evening talks, sure. But what you’ll remember is a conversation under stars, or a reef explained in a way that changes how you see it forever.
We don’t do charity. We exchange. This looks different in every place we sail. In Maluku, it might mean planting mangroves with school kids, mud on everyone’s hands. In Flores, it’s helping carvers keep their craft alive. In Raja Ampat, it’s funding coral nurseries alongside free-divers who grew up fishing the same reefs. Sometimes it’s as simple as sitting cross-legged in a Banda classroom, trading stories and songs, or carrying books and goggles to kids who’ve never seen the reef with clear eyes.
Every guest brings back a story. Some tell of rare encounters with whale sharks, others of evenings spent singing with new friends on a white sandy beach. The Travel Log is our record, a living collection of what it means to sail with us, seen through the eyes of those who’ve come aboard.
