This brand new SeaTrek itinerary was only trialed in February of 2018 with the SeaTrek management team and is designed to open up the beautiful and unexplored eastern reaches of Halmahera Island, places that very few boats visit, and definitely some one-of-a-kind SeaTrek experiences aboard the MV Katharina. Starting in the Moluccan city of Ambon and ending in the clove capita of Ternate, the heart of the ancient spice trade, you will cruise through the Raja Ampat National park, visit deserted tropical islands, snorkel untouched coral reefs, see many endemic Indonesian birds, wander through a jungle forest teeming with flying foxes, see World War II relics on the island of Morotai, have early morning birds of paradise in their natural habitat, and meet friendly local people and enjoy their hospitality as they welcome you into their homes and villages. With only 12 spaces available on this journey, it will truly be an intimate experience to remember for the rest of your life

Note: The price of this cruise does not include any domestic airfares to and from our start and end points, however, our reservations specialists in Bali are more than happy to help arrange domestic flights on your behalf and advise on scheduling. We book hundreds of flights each year on behalf of our guests and we know the best routes to take to ensure you arrive on time. We only book with IATA-approved airlines that have met with international standards of safety and dependability. Except for Bali, transfers to and from local airports to the boat are also included. If you are booking flights by yourself, do not book any flights before checking with us first. Our first and last day programmes rely on strict time scheduling, so please confirm with us to ensure that you arrive and depart at your destination with plenty of time to spare and to avoid disruption to other guests' schedules.
