Kendari

Kendari is a coastal city and the capital of the province of Southeast Sulawesi. In the 19th century, a trading harbour was developed here by the Dutch government, utilising the trading skills of the Bugis and Bajo seafaring tribes who lived around Kendari Bay. Kendari people are renowned silver craftsmen.
